The conflict in Tigray, Ethiopia, which has resulted in widespread violence and human rights abuses, involves several parties. Primarily, the conflict is between the Ethiopian federal government, led by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF), the former ruling party of the Tigray region. The conflict escalated in November 2020 when the Ethiopian government launched a military offensive against the TPLF following tensions over political power and regional autonomy.

The involvement in the Tigray genocide, as termed by some observers and human rights organizations, extends beyond these two main parties. Reports have implicated Eritrean forces, which are allied with the Ethiopian government, in committing atrocities against civilians in Tigray. Additionally, there have been reports of abuses by various militias and armed groups operating in the region, mainly from the Amhara region.
