Do you think that being of the same religious background impacts compatibility in long-term relationships? I think that several different factors play a role. For example, people can belong to different religious and/or spiritual paradigms but still share core value systems that are informed by these different ideologies. In this case, does this signal compatibility more than incompatibility or vice versa? Another example, sometimes religious and/or spiritual teachings encourage some form of regular devotion, and partaking in this act of devotion may be an important way a person experiences unity and intimacy with a partner, and this could be a priority for someone even if they find the other person's values and outlook on life otherwise agreeable. What do you think?
